Parents and teachers are generally very well aware of the importance of a good understanding of math. For those of us in the UK, where 3 million or so visit bingo halls throughout the year, bingo is a part of our weekly social activities. Many bingo halls have a pub like atmosphere, which allows people to meet new friends and chat without the dark lighting, heavy loud music or “teeny boppers” which are typical of a nightclub or bar. We have also seen many debates on whether bingo is a serious form of gambling and, programmes like Panorama’s recent documentary on online gambling, has added further fuel to both arguments for and against online bingo gambling. Go over your bingo program step-by-step.

Surveys show that online bingo is also played by the same demographic of people who use chat rooms or online dating agencies as a way of meeting people. Whether experienced or not, you want your bingo callers to call numbers at a regular pace. Pull tabs come in a variety of games and styles. Global figures estimate around 5 million people globally, helping fuel the internet gaming market and generating millions in internet revenues overall. You can play online Bingo during most hours of the day. This is what fuels the argument regarding bingo, and whether it is a serious form of gambling. From the comfort of your home you can experience the same social environment, albeit without the drinking element (unless you have a well stocked bar at home). If possible, it’s a good idea to advertise and pre-sell the raffle tickets beforehand. The chat rooms that are associated with the games, allow us to communicate with people all over the world and not just in the local area, as was the restriction with land-based bingo. Unfortunately, bingo players are human just like everyone.

Isn’t real bingo fast enough as it is? For those who are semi-professional online bingo players speed bingo. You can have 50/50 raffles (where 50% of the proceeds go to the prize), or raffle off one or more prizes. Make your bingo prizes worth the effort for your bingo players. But what will the future hold for the next generation of bingo software. And, the majority should be what you’re most concerned with. And if you are lucky enough to meet your true love at the same time, then “BINGO”, your numbers have come up all at one!. We believe it’s smart business to have your bingo concession be a draw for your bingo event and not a profit center. It’s well understood by teachers and parents, that, just like many other areas of life, regular practice at solving math problems can greatly contribute to improving a student’s math skills.

Believe it or not, I am frequently asked how to fix dented bingo balls.

You know, you’re calling bingo and for some reason ‘B12′ shows up with a dent in the side. Obviously, you can’t continue calling bingo with a dented bingo ball. Your bingo players would scream bloody murder and rightfully so. You can’t call a fair bingo game with damaged equipment.

So, what can you do? Well, I’ve never seen a dented bingo ball fixed by simply pressing on it, or pushing out the dent by hand. So, I don’t think that works. No matter how hard you press, the dent isn’t going away.

Well, here’s one home remedy that I’ve used to fix dented balls and save bingo managers the hassle of buying a completely new set:

1. In a container, heat some water to the point of almost boiling.

2. Place your dented bingo ball into the hot water.

3. Use a spoon or other device to hold the ball under the water as best you can.

4. Soon, the ping-pong like ball should soften a bit and the dent will repair.

It’s actually pretty easy!

Now, this won’t work for cracked bingo balls. Cracked bingo balls are done and you might as well throw them away. Also, it won’t work on the miniature bingo balls or the wooden ones.

Finally, I can’t guarantee this will work. While I’ve used this method to successfully repair balls a number of times, it’s very possible that it could destroy a ball further. In other words, use this home remedy at your own risk. But really, what have you got to lose……a dented bingo ball?

Good luck! I hope this saves you from having to buy a new set of balls the next time you have a little dent.

When you think of gambling you likely think about Vegas, Atlantic City, casinos, and even cards. Do you, though, think of the local VA, elementary school, or Catholic Church? If not, then maybe you should consider that not only is a Bingo a game of chance, but it is also one of the most popular kinds of gambling around. With that in mind, consider some of the basics of the game before you run off to the Wednesday night games at the local VA lodge and try to win the big jackpot.

Bingo was actually originally a European game. It was played in Italy in the 16th century and then later by the French. By the 19th century, Bingo was being played all over Europe by adults for money and by children to learn basic arithmetic. It wasn’t until the early 20th century, though, that it actually found its way to the United States, and eventually your local Catholic church’s fund raiser.

Really, perhaps the easiest thing about bingo is that all you need to pay it are the cards, bingo cages, and markers. Bingo cards should have five rows and five columns. As the numbers are called they are marked on the cards with either the markers or what are called daubers. Daubers are really the tool of choice for true bingo players. They are like stamps for marking bingo cards.

The only real strategy you will see in your typical bingo game, aside from good luck charms, are the purchase of multiple cards to increase your odds of having a winner. The only problem is that you need to make sure you keep your number of cards manageable enough so that you can always keep track of all cards on each number call.

Finally, keep in mind that bingo is completely a game of chance. You have the same odds as anyone else, or rather each of your cards does. In the end, there are no quick ways to win or secret strategies. Many people keep good luck charms with them or sitting on the bingo table near their cards, but if you do not like the idea of pure luck, then bingo is not the game for you.

So next time you are at that big Catholic fundraiser, elementary school game night, or even at your local bingo hall, keep these ideas in mind. Bingo can certainly be quite enjoyable and you can win money or prizes, but keep in mind that there is little if any skill involved. If you keep those things in mind and try to take the game for what it is then you will be able to enjoy it to the fullest amount possible.
