Well, this great game of bingo has two versions. One of the versions is called the seventy five ball bingo. This version of bingo is mostly played in the United States. In this version of the game a total of seventy five numbers are announced in five columns of fifteen numbers each. The card in the seventy five ball version has twenty five squares consisting of five across and five down forming a square shape. The numbers on the card have been randomly selected from one to seventy five. These cards also have a code printed on them for verification purposes.

The second version of bingo is known as the ninety ball version this version of bingo is usually played in the United Kingdom and Australia. The cards in this version of bingo are called tickets these tickets consist of three rows and nine columns. These tickets are part of a card consisting of six tickets. Out of the nine squares on each row five of them have numbers from one to ninety while the others are blank.

Every session of ninety ball bingo has three winning patterns, which means three possibilities of winning. These possibilities are through either a single, two or three horizontal lines. A full house is called when three horizontal lines are completed. There is a separate prize for each winning pattern.

Major difference between ninety ball bingo and seventy five ball bingo is that ninety ball bingo can have three winners in a single game. Another advantage with ninety ball bingo is you can either choose to buy a single ticket or a full strip of tickets. Ninety ball bingo is also considered more rewarding as you get to win three prizes within a single game. Since ninety ball bingo has more prizes and a higher chance of winning it’s also very popular online.

Basic principles of both ninety ball and seventy five bingo is the primarily same both versions include balls with numbers painted on them and a ball dispenser (that’s what I call them) from which they randomly roll out. Every person playing the game has a set of cards with numbers printed on them and those numbers are to be crossed out as each number is announced. The first person to shout out bingo and have five numbers marked in a line wins. The objective of both versions is to involve people in a non competitive type social activity.

Teachers are always on the look out for fun, interesting and engaging classroom activities. Classroom games, obviously providing they have sufficient educational content are particularly welcome. This desire for interesting classroom activities extends to teachers of all subjects, including teachers of modern languages such as Italian.

One such activity that an increasing number of teachers are turning to is bingo. The reasons for this include the facts that bingo can easily be adapted to teaching different subjects, is very easy to learn and play, and that the game does not include any expensive or specialist materials.

There are many ways that bingo can be adapted to teaching Italian, here are a few possibilities:

1. You could play bingo using numbered cards (e.g. squares contain “5″, “34″ and “66″), but the teacher calls out numbers in Italian (e.g. “cinque”, “trenta quattro”, and “sessanta sei”). This type of game offers an excellent opportunity for students to practice their Italian numbers.

2. Instead of playing with cards containing numbers, you could play using cards containing times, dates, or letters of the alphabet. As with the previous type of game, you play Italian.

3. You could play with vocabulary. In this type of game you can use bingo cards either containing English or Italian words, but all calls are made in the other language.

In order to play these types of bingo there is really just one thing you need: bingo cards containing the appropriate item. At this point many teachers would probably start to worry about the cost of being specialist printed materials – however there is no need to worry – teachers can simply print the cards themselves using their computers. Teachers can download get ready-to-use free bingo printables from the Internet on a variety of topics, or alternatively can purchase affordable computer software for printing bingo cards which allows them to print cards containing any combination of items that they want in effectively unlimited quantities.

Halloween is a holiday celebrated on the October 31st each year, especially in the United States of America, but nowadays in many other countries as well. Halloween is traditionally associated with ghosts, witches and scary stories. Pumpkins are carved with faces and a candle placed inside to make a Jack O’Lantern. Kids love to dress up to play games or go trick-or-treating.

Halloween is also often marked by schools and community groups. It is not uncommon for schools to hold Halloween themed events, and teachers to organize Halloween games in their classrooms. One particular game that is ideal for classrooms at this time of year – it can be a lot of fun, is easy to place, can be educational, and does not require expensive or specialist materials – is a game of Halloween bingo.

Halloween bingo is played very much like a normal game of bingo. Each student is given a bingo card or bingo card containing a grid of items. However, Halloween bingo cards are printed with words or phrases relating to Halloween (”ghost”, “Jack O’Lantern”, “pumpkin”, “witch”, etc.) instead of the usual numbers. The teacher takes the part of bingo caller, and calls these items out in a random order, until a student achieves a winning pattern of marked off squares on their bingo card.

One question that many teachers have is where to get Halloween bingo cards. This isn’t difficult however. You can download a set of ready-made printable templates from the Internet, or using bingo card making software to print custom bingo cards in whatever quantity and containing whatever items that you want.
